Thank you for showing interest in becoming an Uber Driver.
We understand that you are looking to become an Uber Driver, to do this you need to complete a Driver Evaluation and FingerPrint Tests so that you can be activated as an Uber Driver. These are 2 simple tests that everyone has to do before being activated and start driving.
Step 1
Book for your Uber Driver Evaluation and Criminal Background Tests on the link provided: Book Here
Step 2
Attend Testing - Every wednesday 9am - 13:00 : No 64 7th Avenue Parktown North (Parktown Methodist Church)
Step 3
Once your results are cleared you can attend Uber activation and begin driving.
Test Information and Pricing:
Criminal Background Test
This is a fingerprint test which determines if you have a Criminal Background.
Driver Road Evaluation
This is an on the road test with a vehicle. The test is designed to ensure a DRIVER can drive safely and professionally while transporting passengers according to Uber standards. A certificate is issued if you pass this test.
*Please note that we provide vehicles to do this test so you are not required to come with your own vehicle.
You will complete both tests on the same day and results take 5 working Days.
You are required to have done the following before you attend testing:
- That you have created an Uber Profile at: www.uber.com
- That you have uploaded you Pdf
- That you have your invite code from Uber confirming your PDP is approved. Other Requirements:

- Being a professional driver means you will have to communicate with customers on a daily basis. For this reason it is very important that you are proficient in English.
Always be Presentable and Professional
- Drivers must be and look professional at all times.
- People who take pride in their appearance will take pride in their job.
Have use of a Smartphone with Email
- Your smartphone and email must be working.
- Communication is done via email so it important that you have an email address and
know how to use your smartphone.
